If I Go For Radiology, When Can I Start Working?

NEW VIDEOS DAILY

I read in many sites that taking Radiology will take about 13 years:
4 years Undergraduate College
4 years Medical School
5 year internship and residency
-do i get any certificate after the 4-year undergraduate college so i can start working? if not, when?
-is there anyway i can finish in less time, because 13 years seems to be long.

The bachelor degree you earn after the 4 year undergraduate college does not qualify you to work in radiology. You could find any other type of work or maybe at a hospital working in the lab if your degree is in a science related field. But with medical school following, that might interfere with your studies.
You will have to complete all 13 years to be fully qualified to work in radiology. Your other option is to skip college and medical school and attend a shorter technical school for about 1 or 2 years to become a radiology technician (the person who operates the x-ray machine).
Also, if your residency is in radiology, you will get practical on-the-job training in radiology before the 13 years have passed. But this will be under the supervision of a fully qualified radiologist (Medical Doctor who specialized in Radiology).

thats if you do it all back to back with no breaks. you have to take the mcat, boards, all these crazy things. you can’t work after four years with a certificate. you dont get one, you can do whatever you want with a bs degrree.
